Vladimir Sloutsker about modern ways to protect Jewish people

Vladimir Sloutsker is the founder and president of the Israeli-Jewish Congress as well as an influential political figure, who is dedicated to defending the rights of Jews. The main task of his organization is to create a relationship between governmental authorities of the European Union and Israel as well as other Jewish organizations. That will help to protect the interests of Jews in the territory of the EU.

Nowadays the politician is famous and successful, but that was not always been the case. Only some know that Mr. Sloutsker faced a difficult time because of his nationality. He was denied in the right to study by many universities, but all in all has built a great career and got his degree. Also, he was not able to live in his motherland for a long time due to family reasons. But his patriotism did not fade, and he remained loyal to his roots. The politician dreamed of returning home to help to restore a strong national structure and defend the rights of Jews in the world arena.

When Vladimir Sloutsker returned to Israel, he co-founded the Israeli-Jewish Congress. It organized an active trilateral dialogue, which became an essential element in the attitude towards the Jews. The result of it is a successful project of young ambassadors that was created to support Jews abroad. It was a great step in eliminating anti-Semitism from society.

Another thing that Mr. Sloutsker is very passionate about is the change in citizenship laws. It is clear that all Jews cannot live only in their native land. That is why maintaining Diasporas will help them not to be ashamed of their identity and protect their rights. That will also grow the level of patriotism and build a stronger connection to the native land, especially in younger generations. Vladimir Sloutsker believes that everyone who has a Jewish background should get Israeli citizenship if he wants to. And it also does not matter if the person will live in the native territory or not.

It is becoming a problem that the majority of the youth are hiding their nationality, unlike their parents. The majority of them are doing that because of anti-Semitism that is actively growing in the world. The young generation is afraid to be discriminated or attacked. That is why Vladimir Sloutsker calls to all governments to resolve the problem of hatred of social minorities. No one deserves to live in fear. We must combine our forces to eradicate the phenomenon from society.

The president of the Israeli-Jewish Congress is always trying to find the support of other influential people. He attends conferences and is not afraid to speak up. Besides, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amber Rudd, showed her support for the Jewish people. She stressed the importance of fighting any acts of hatred against social minorities. Ms. Rudd emphasized that the acute problem should concern not only Jews but the whole world.

The social division is currently the biggest problem, admits Vladimir Sloutsker. Therefore, he is doing his best to promote the adoption of international experience. He uses the examples of the USA and UK, where there is an active development of information campaigns. That is a great way to contribute to the fight against national and religious conflicts. Mr. Sloutsker considers thinks that following their steps will help to unite society.
