Korg has confirmed to release on the 28th and will be sold via Korg’s new Korg Shop. However, the cost of it might surprise potential owners, coming in at an introductory price of £159 and then rising up to £240, bearing in mind that the original iOS app clocks in at around £40. This makes it quite a pricey offering, pitching it in the price range of other major DAWs.
Obviously, Korg is looking at Gadget OS as their flagship music-making application and it will be interesting to see how it develops over the life of the product—could it be the next Ableton Live?
