In a rush among digital businesses worldwide to demonstrate that they are current on creative artificial intelligence (AI) advances, Alibaba Group announced on Wednesday that it is building a ChatGPT-style tool that is now undergoing internal testing.
The Chinese e-commerce company made its comment in response to news that Alibaba is creating a ChatGPT-like discussion robot that is currently available for testing among its staff, according to the 21st Century Herald newspaper.
Alibaba declined to comment when contacted about the newspaper article, which also claimed that the company would integrate the technology with its DingTalk chat app. The business claimed that for a period of years, it has concentrated on huge language models and generative AI. Large language models are natural language processing algorithms that can answer and understand questions as well as produce new content since they have been trained on enormous amounts of material.
The announcement caused Alibaba’s U.S.-listed shares to increase by 3.2% in premarket trading.

Another Chinese internet company, JD.com, announced on Wednesday that it was trying to incorporate ChatGPT-like practices and technologies into some of its goods, including the customer support offered through its C.
According to a source familiar with the company, NetEase aims to use comparable massive language modeling techniques to support its educational business.
According to research by threat intelligence company Check Point Research, malware is now being created using OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which has been incredibly popular in recent months.
Although the AI chatbot has placed limitations on how the services may be used, discussions on a dark web hacker community have shown that malware can still be produced using the services.
Moreover, anonymous forum users have provided viewers with instructions on how to accomplish this, such as “the easiest way to get it to generate what you desire is by defining what the program ought to do and what steps need to be taken, take into account it like composing pseudo-code for your comp[uter] scientific[) lesson.”
Hackers can make a “python file grabber that looks for popular file formats” using this technique, and the application can automatically erase itself once files have been downloaded or when an error occurs while it is operating. The technique is intended to eliminate any signs of hacking.
Authorities will have to find new ways to control the threats posed by the ChatGPT, and limit its usage for the useful purposes only.
