3 Things You Want to Do before You Set up Your iPhone 8

Checking your iPhone 8 again and again, spending time on your iPad playing games or impatiently browsing on the MacBook

All this while waiting for the I Cloud to back up.

If you are thinking about buying the new iPhone 8, this can easily be you.

September 19 is finally here and so is the long-awaited iOS 11 update.

All the Apple users are backing up their I Clouds to welcome the new update as soon as possible.

So if you don’t want to wait that long, you can do these things to speed up the process yourself.

1. Get rid of the 32-bit apps

It’s time to let go.

There has been a lot of talk for ages now that 32-bit apps will have to go once IOS 11 arrives.

And now that day is already here.

As of the latest update, all the apps that have not been upgraded will stop functioning.

So you can check if the apps still have the chance to upgrade to 64-bit if they are on the Apple Store.

If not, then they are dead as doornails.

So it’s time you either evolve them or say your goodbyes.

2. Old Games

We all have that pack of games that we have been dragging with us forever.

Don’t even try to deny it.

At some point, you have to realize that you are over the color switch and it’s time to move on.

But there is some sort of attachment that doesn’t let you let go.

Well, time to face what’s under the carpet.

The games that you haven’t launched even once since the last update just have to go.

They remain buried in the silos and rob you of a lot of space when you hardly even remember them when you use your phone.

And it slows down the phone.

So if you still want to keep the games, you may want to download them later so that it doesn’t slow down the update download.

3. The Forgotten Apps

You know that folder you have on the last page of your home page?

The one you can’t remember why you made or can’t recall what apps are in there?

Yeah, that has to go too.

There is at least one app that you downloaded out of curiosity or maybe it has been just tagging along with all your updates for no reason and it takes up a lot of space.

Unless they are apps that you rarely use but can’t delete, like Apple Pay, it is in your best interest to get rid of them.

Or Have iOS11 do it For You

Once you have downloaded it, you can have a look at the iPhone 8 storage in the settings.

You will see different visual representations and suggestions from IOS 11, such as unused apps, old conversations, etc.

By enabling these suggestions, you can save a lot of space on your iCloud and spare yourself a lot of time.
